Musicals as Wedding Gowns

My husband sent me a funny video clip of a woman at a bridal store lip-synching to Broadway songs as she tried on various dresses that fit the theme of each show. I decided to browse a little and I came up with a few of my own!

Grecian, toga-inspired? A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,

Trade in the traditional gown for white bell bottoms. Hair.

Prairie ruffles and a straw hat? Oklahoma!

A ballgown so enormous it barely fits in the room? What else but The King and I?

Green tendrils of ivy threatening to strangle the bride? Definitely Little Shop of Horrors.

Duh. Kinky Boots.

Pink satin with a jewel neck and a classic silhouette? It must be Legally Blonde (unless it's Wednesday, in which case it could also be Mean Girls).

Wrapped linen, a huge beaded collar, and a jeweled headpiece. Aida.

Cast on your arm? No matter what kind of dress you're wearing, it's Dear Evan Hansen.

Tea-length with crinoline and a sheer yoke. Jersey Boys.

Curtains. Curtains.

Flapper-inspired with art deco beading. The Wild Party or The Drowsy Chaperone.

Fully sheer? The Full Monty.

Gothic mermaid chic. The Addams Family.

All you need is a balcony. Evita.

He is what he is. La Cage Aux Folles.

Top hat, vest, bow tie. A Chorus Line.

Black and white. City of Angels.

That silhouette? Seussical.

Looks like feathers and wings. Must be Honk!

Very Norma Desmond. Very Sunset Boulevard.

I bet you can guess this one!
